Betelep\u00edtett n\u00e9metek hozt\u00e1k l\u00e9tre a helyi gy\u00e1ripart. A R\u00e1k\u00f3czi-f\u00e9le szabads\u00e1gharc idej\u00e9n a dolhai csat\u00e1ban Esze Tam\u00e1s csapat\u00e1ban 1500 jobb\u00e1gy harcolt. Ez volt a szabads\u00e1gharc els\u0151, b\u00e1r vesztes csat\u00e1ja.<br \/>A 17\u201318. sz\u00e1zadban a Teleki gr\u00f3fok birtoka volt ez a ter\u00fclet, s 1780-ban m\u00e1r pap\u00edrgy\u00e1r m\u0171k\u00f6d\u00f6tt itt, melyet az 1800-as \u00e9vek elej\u00e9n vasgy\u00e1rr\u00e1 alak\u00edtottak \u00e1t.<br \/>R\u00f3mai katolikus egyh\u00e1zk\u00f6zs\u00e9g\u00e9t 1920-ban jegyezt\u00e9k be. A pl\u00e9b\u00e1ni\u00e1t 1942-ben alap\u00edtott\u00e1k. Ekkor \u00e9p\u00fclt a templom is. 1994 szeptember\u00e9ben a h\u00edvek \u00faj templomot kezdtek \u00e9p\u00edteni, ugyanis a r\u00e9gi statikailag bizonytalann\u00e1, ingatagg\u00e1 v\u00e1lt.
