Blessing of the parish church in Rativci was administered on 19 September 2010. The renovation procedure has become a great example of Christian collaboration: contributions for the renovation expenses came not only from parishioners but also from the local Greek Catholic and Protestant Churches, as well as from Roman Catholics in the neighboring villages: Teglash, Surte, Chop and Solomonovo.
The Bishop’s Office covered the missing part of the renovation costs. Faithful from all the donor communities attended the celebration along with the local Greek Catholic priest and the Protestant minister. The youth choir of Teglash assisted in the singing of the liturgy.
The beautifully renovated church interior was blessed by Msgr. Antal Majnek, diocesan bishop. Father Roman Snep, parish priest of Rativci and Ferenc Lelekacs Sr., head of the church council thanked everyone for all the contributions.
